Married Yet Unfulfilled: Alpha Bitch
Jasbina Ahluwalia asks Rebecca Grado, co-author of Taming Your Alpha Bitch: How to Be Fierce and Feminine (and Get Everything You Want!):
It’s a pleasure to have you on. As a professional dating coach and matchmaker to successful men and women, I’m fascinated by insights supporting people’s efforts to evolve into the best versions of their authentic selves.
I’ve really enjoyed reading your book and would love to explore some of the insights shared in your book. What led you to write this book in the first place?
Rebecca Grado I’ve been a psychotherapist for over 25 years. I work primarily with women.
Married Yet Unfulfilled and Overwhelmed
The one thing I hear over and over is a central theme from women of, “I’m overwhelmed. I’m working so hard in my life. I’m doing well.”
I work with a lot of very successful women, many of them from the Silicon Valley. These are CEOs of companies. They are bright, brilliant women.
Married Yet Unfulfilled and Overwrought
They’re coming to me and they’re saying, “I’m achieving the things I want in life for sure. I’m successful. I have the family. I have the husband. I have the great career. Why am I unfulfilled? Why do I feel overwhelmed and overwrought in life?”
I wanted to really dig deep into that question. We’ve achieved so much in the span of just a few generations.
Why are we feeling less connected to ourselves, our contentment and our inner fulfillment?
That led me to ferret out some great insights. That became the book, Taming Your Alpha Bitch.
