Seeking Pre-Marital Counseling

Jasbina Ahluwalia asks Dr. Lisa Bobby, a Board Certified Life Coach:  It’s a pleasure to have you on. What are some of the most common reasons that people seek pre-marital counseling with you?

Dr. Lisa Bobby

I think there are two main reasons that people seek pre-marital counseling.

  2. In love, but feel they need work

Seeking Pre-Marital Counseling: Work To Be Done

Another type of couple seeks out pre-marital counseling.

They know they love each other. They know that they want to get married, but they feel like they have some things to work out first.

Maybe they do have a little bit of conflict in their relationship or some points of friction and they want to do the wise thing, which is to get that resolved before marriage so that it doesn’t cause problems down the road.
