What is The Great Love Debate and what led to you coming up with this idea?

My book, How to Find Love in 60 Seconds, was scheduled to come out in January.
The Great Love Debate: Forum
I thought that I could either go on my book tour by myself and have 30 people in Barnes & Noble and do a reading or I could bring up some of the subjects and key points of the book in a forum where there are other voices and where we have an audience of a couple of hundred people able to react instantly to a lot of the material and a lot of the theories that are brought up in the book.
The Great Love Debate: Creation of Conversation
I’m a producer at heart. I always liked the town hall style format with people where there’s give and take, questions and answers and getting people in a room. You really get the immediate reaction.
If someone reads my book in the comfort of their living room, that’s great, but I want to see and hear their reactions as we raise a lot of these issues.
That’s where the idea for The Great Love Debate came about.
The Great Love Debate: National Outreach
That’s brilliant. Do I understand correctly that you’ve done about 50 shows throughout North America at this point? Do I have my math right?

Next Wednesday in Santa Barbara, California is our 50th show, yes. We’ve done 49 since January.
